The Impact of AI on Albanian Students: A Comparative Analysis with Germany
Abstract
This comparative study delves into the burgeoning impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the educational experiences and outcomes of Albanian students, setting its findings against a backdrop of data from German students to understand the relative advancements and implications. Utilizing a survey methodology, the study engaged with 100 Albanian students to ascertain the frequency, type, and perceived effectiveness of AI tools in enhancing academic tasks, specifically focusing on essays, exercises, and problem-solving activities. The research highlights a significant inclination among students to adopt AI for routine academic tasks, with many reporting improved efficiency and understanding in their studies. Moreover, the study explores the broader educational, social, and ethical implications of AI adoption, reflecting on how such technologies are reshaping student experiences, teacher roles, and the educational landscape at large. Comparative insights with Germany, known for its robust educational system and advanced AI integration, provide a critical lens through which to evaluate the potential and challenges of AI in education. The findings aim to contribute to the global discourse on AI in education, providing stakeholders with nuanced understandings of how AI can enhance learning outcomes, the readiness of educational systems to integrate such technologies, and the necessary support structures required to maximize benefits while mitigating risks.
